Lessons with Joe

“Never too little, late, or great.”

I am currently accepting students of all skill levels and ages. I believe engaging with a diverse pool of students makes me a better teacher and mentor for all. No matter your age, skill level, experience, or goals, I will commit to creating the best experience for learning music I can. My mantra since 2006 has been that you are “never too little, late, or great” for private music instruction.

For over a decade, I have taught over thirty students a week and performed at venues ranging from restaurants and furniture stores to major clubs and beautiful concert halls. I began playing music as a self-taught guitarist at the age of five and later pursued formal music studies at Berklee College of Music. However, I learned a lot about music by teaching it. By taking on students of every age, skill level, and background, my teaching methods were challenged every day. Eventually, they resulted in piles of lesson notes and my first method book, The Guitarist’s Palette: Volume I. I hope to share the rest of the notes that didn’t make my book with you!
